2018 Polaris Assault 800 - So I've been out of sledding for 5 or 6 years and now I'm getting back into it. The last sliders are the 2009 Nytro XTX and the 2010 Gade 800R. When I got back I was 100% sure I wanted an 850 Backcountry. After some research, it turns out that SBA may be better in all areas than BC. So I got the rest of the SBA 800. I'm not a fan of the plain black and raw tunnel, but my plan is to "showcase" it this winter, and if I like it, I'll look at the 850 snow in spring 2020.
1. I have a 1.35" Cobra. Is it worth selling it and upgrading to a 1.6" Cobra? I plan to do 60 trails/40 trails. I mostly ride WI and UP.

Can you find the bad and fuel dish in the tunnel? 4. How much storage is there under the seat? thanks! :buttrock: Click to expand... 1.6 Snow Cobra is amazing love of mine. 2019 Indie Snowboard. The storage under the seat is a small compartment, not waterproof. Many options for storing caves. Move it to the attacking arena first and the boys have plenty of ideas. Also some tunnel options in the indie forum.

I can't answer any of your questions as I'm waiting for my 850 attack, but I will say a good wrap will cover your face... and welcome to skating :buttrock:
Congratulations SBA!!! Find Northstar Performance here at HCS ... Get Your Clutch Kit!!! Don't be sad!!!
Catch it and destroy it!! The 1.35 144 is strong on the trail and does well everywhere, especially on 60% road.

Never knew it could be more than you think? 2. Any good mods to do right away? If you do a lot of lake racing or sub-zero riding, you'll be cool with this windshield. I would go up at least one size. 3. Can you find the bad and fuel dish in the tunnel? Yes, I have seen combinations with a ski bag on the back and a gas canister. Not sure which items you are actually looking at though. 4. How much storage is there under the seat? I'd say it's not bad if you specify the bag that comes behind and under the seat. Similar to the trunk storage found on skis in Greece in the early 2000s. thanks! :buttrock: Click to expand... My thoughts are in red above.

1. I have a 1.35" Cobra. Is it worth selling it and upgrading to a 1.6" Cobra? I plan to do 60 trails/40 trails. I mostly ride WI and UP. I had an attack in 2017 and 2018 and put 6,000 miles between the two in Wisconsin and UP, but all trail. If you're going for 60/40, I'd say 1.60 would be a better choice. Also install a 2019 XC snow plinth to get more snow back into the tunnel. The 2018 was better than the 2017, with a larger thermostat housing providing better flow for cooling, but a longer ice sheet improving run time in the sweet spot.
4. How much storage is there under the seat? There is a surprising amount of staying power, but it is not as dry as described. I didn't go off the track, so no extra gas was needed, and I had enough storage in the seat for what I needed on a night trip.
I'm not a fan of the pitch black and raw cave. There are some affordable ones that are easy to carry.

You did it to me. Sled Solutions seat bag, FT2 hanger, original seat bag in hangers, Polaris fuel can, Indy XC rear snow plate and fender.
I have exactly the same slide. He bought it in February, and by the beginning of March had made the two hundred miles to Hayward. I love. Such a fun skit. At idle it vibrates exactly the same amount. I wear gripper skis with Bergstrom triple points, shims and a ski storage kit. Also added mbrp path can. You can see more photos I had last spring. Skid plate, hand guard, handle, burn tunnel bag and Duraflex scrapers. I think 1.6 will be useful sometime...
Going from 1.3 to 1.6 is not a waste of money. Both great tracks. If you switch, go to 1.75. The 22 41 transmission and Northstar clutch kit are a great combination. If it doesn't work on my new skis, I might basically sell a new North Star clutch kit.

Yes, the kit is 1.375 by 2 inches. The Helix has 2 spaces for a track or trail
